These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Play Sugya (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service
Play Sugya is a game-based learning platform for mastering the language and mechanics of Gemara. Play Sugya is, and will remain, free to use for learners — there is no paywall for core learning features.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must notify us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
- You must be old enough to consent to use online services in your jurisdiction, or use the Service under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or educational institution.
Acceptable use
When using Play Sugya, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated scraping or excessive requests not intended for normal use.
- Copy, resell, or redistribute Play Sugya’s content or software without our permission.
- Upload or transmit anything harmful, infringing, or abusive.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Content and intellectual property
Play Sugya and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Play Sugya and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may use the Service only for your own personal learning, and may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from it except as permitted by these Terms.
Donations
Play Sugya is supported by voluntary donations. Donations are processed securely through Stripe. Donations are generally non-refundable, but you may contact us if you believe a donation was made in error.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Play Sugya will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where reasonably practicable.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
